Description
This audio guide explores what it can look like, when we practice staying present with ourselves and with others in our closest relationships; when we are intentional about staying connected to ourselves and our felt experience.
Navigating our relationships in embodied ways can feel challenging, when we have a history of trauma. Feeling our feelings, staying connected with our body, staying present in the moment can feel overwhelming or almost impossible. Too often we stay on autopilot and slip into survival mode and avoid or suppress or distract because it is all that we have the capacity for.
Intentionally growing our capacity to hold discomfort in the body can help us to stay present with ourselves and with others, also in challenging times and situations. Practicing presence can impact our relationships in profound ways and open the door to deeper connection and meaning, in ways that feel safe and supportive.
This audio guide includes a somatic practice of practicing sitting with discomfort.
